Repository & Self-Archiving Policy

The Journal of Culture and Tourism (JCT) supports the dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research through institutional and subject-based repositories. Authors are permitted to archive versions of their manuscripts in repositories, personal websites, or academic networking platforms.

Author Self-Archiving Rights

Authors are allowed to deposit and share their manuscripts in the following versions:

Preprint Version

Authors may archive the preprint version (the version before peer review) in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Personal websites

  • Academic networking sites

Accepted Manuscript (Postprint)

Authors may archive the accepted version of the manuscript (after peer review and revisions but before journal formatting) in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Research repositories

  • Personal academic pages

Published Version

The final published version of the article may be shared in repositories or other platforms, provided that:

  • Proper citation of the original publication is included.

  • A link to the official journal website is provided.

Repository Platforms

Authors are encouraged to deposit their work in reputable repositories such as:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Subject-based repositories

  • Academic networking platforms (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)

  • Open science repositories

Citation Requirement

When archiving their work, authors must include a clear citation to the original article published in the Journal of Culture and Tourism (JCT), including the DOI or permanent link to the journal website.

This policy supports the journal’s commitment to open access, research visibility, and wider dissemination of scholarly knowledge in culture and tourism studies.
